St. Patrick’s Day Crochet Patterns – for next year

March 18, 2018 by Robin, Avon Rep and Owner at Imperial Crochet

I don’t know what’s wrong with me.  I’m always two steps and one holiday behind with my crochet projects.

Yesterday was St. Patrick’s Day and I had big plans of creating a crocheted banner decoration for the event… but never got around to it.

A few weeks ago I came up with the bright idea to make crocheted banners, one for each holiday, to go in my kitchen bay window.  Super cute idea, right?  Problem is, I haven’t made any… not one.

This is the window I want to decorate.

So far, since I came up with the idea, I’ve missed Valentine’s Day and now St. Paddy’s.

I don’t even plan to make anything complicated.  I was thinking a string of hearts and a rainbow of shamrocks.

In my defense, I started one for Easter.  It’s going to consist of Granny Square bunnies.

Here’s a photo I took of one of the bunnies that will eventually be hung by its ears.

One done. 2 almost done. About 3 or 4 more to make.

Today, I’m sharing some fun designs I’ve found at Etsy for St. Patrick’s Day crochet patterns.  If you’re like me, this gives us an entire year to get one completed!

Stunning design!

This intricate afghan would make THE perfect gift for an Irish couple getting married!  It would also be gorgeous draped over a sofa or bed.

Not just for St. Paddy’s Day!

This little guy is really cute and would make a terrific gift for any beer drinker at any time of the year but is especially fun at St. Patrick’s Day.  And with a year to make them, you can make one of these draft beer amigurumi guys for each of your friends!

Shamrock Coasters Crochet Pattern

These are the ones I’m thinking of using for my banner.

I really like the design of these cute coasters and I think the size would work for the crocheted St. Patrick’s Day banner I want to make so I’ll probably be grabbing this pattern for myself sometime soon.
